From Santa Fe
about an hour Take US 84/285 north from Santa Fe. Once in Española it gets a little tricky. You must turn left off of Riverside to reach Highway 84/285. You can turn left at Stanley & Griego Bridge Road (Dandy Burger is the landmark for this intersection), you can turn at the next left which is El Paseo de Oñate or you can continue through town to the Fairview Lane/Riverside intersection (Walgreen’s, CVS and Washington Federal are on the corners). After turning left to cross the Rio Grande, turn right onto Paseo de Oñate (U. S. 84/285). 84 will take you directly to Abiquiu. When you see the Abiquiu Inn sign, you will have arrived. From Albuquerque about 2 hours Take I-25 north towards Santa Fe. You may take the 599 bypass to U. S. 84/285 or take the St. Francis Drive exit and drive through Santa Fe. St. Francis Drive becomes US 84/285 at the north end of Santa Fe. Take US 84/285 north from Santa Fe. Once in Española it gets a little tricky. After turning left to cross the Rio Grande, turn right onto Paseo de Oñate (U. S. 84/285). 84 will take you directly to Abiquiu. When you see the Abiquiu Inn sign, you will have arrived. From Taos about 1 hour and 15 minutes There are several routes to Abiquiu - the scenic and the even more scenic, through the pueblo or Espanola, across the gorge bridge or along the Rio Grande. Take 68 south from Taos (approximately 40 miles). Turn right on 74 and follow through the Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo 74 will take a turn, follow signs out to 84 and take 84 north 16 miles to Abiquiu. Through Espanola Take 68 south (44 miles). At the first light in Espanola (CVS. Walgreens, Washington Federal) turn right on Fairview Lane (1.1miles) , cross the Rio Grande at the next light 84/285 turn right and continue on to Abiquiu (21.3 miles). |

By Bus

Yes, we have public transportation. It is possible to get from Albuquerque to Abiquiu on public transportation. Once in Abiquiu your mobility may be limited without a car. The RTD provides bus service through Abiqiuiu on two of their weekday routes. Route 190 to Chama. Route 180 to El Rito

By Train

There are no trains to Abiquiu however you can take the Roadrunner from Albuquerque and a bus or shuttle from there.

By Air
|
There are two airports to fly into - Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Although Albuquerque adds an hour of driving time to Abiquiu, it has more flights available.
