Seen blooming in April near the Rio Chama This delicate plant grows from ½ to 4 inches high and is easily overlooked. It has 2 to 10 tiny flowers on candelabra-like stems. Leaves are hairy and succulent and grow in a basal rosette. The plant in the photo is barely 1 inch tall. It was used for postpartum hemorrhage, for internal pain, and as a life medicine. Source.
